Come and make a beautiful Japanese Style Bowl taught by Debbie Hill.
Bases and rims will be black.
Choose your bowl from many interesting designs that morning.
Choose the color of dyed reed stakes you like best.
(stakes will be pre-glued into the base for you)
Also, choose to have base glued to bowl or removable.
Weavers will be fine-bleached Hamburg cane for striking contrast.
Several different weaving options will be discussed/taught.
Most of us will be able to complete the bowl in class.
All materials provided except beads (if you want to go REALLY fancy).
Cost $35 (Sorry, had a pricing increase but still a bargain!)
Questions: Debbie Hill (864) 423-0829 deborahhill54@gmail.com
This class would just be strictly burning and painting. The acrylic ink dries permanently and you are able to see your burn marks, I can make up some patterns to choose from if you do not want to come up with your own design. If you decide you want to do this with your own design, keep it simple! The class fee is $15.
Please let Debbie know by October 10th if you will be taking this class.
Debbie Wilson
We will be meeting on August 27, 2024
Julie will be teaching the Oui jar weaving along with some Kumihimo for those interested in learning this Japanese braiding that can be used as a rim.
